Gerald L. Munson is an internationally recognized expert in finding solutions to the most challenging lubrication and hydraulic problems facing the industry today. His company, Fluid Assets, LLC, has tackled fluid contamination issues in more than 20 countries, and through these efforts, he and his team have “uncovered the keys for long machinery life.” Fluid Assets is focused on the research, design and development of fluid and lubricant purification technology, electrostatics, nanotechnology and nanotribology.
Involved in scientific research and development for an astounding 50 years, Mr. Munson has expertly led the operations of this business for the last nine. He is entrusted with the responsibilities of a managing partner, chief technical officer and tribologist. He oversees the development of intellectual property, the customer solutions interface, sales, and marketing for product development.
Mr. Munson has traveled and lectured around the world during the last four decades, and published or delivered more than 150 articles, papers and tutorials on lubrication, varnishing, filtration and particles in fluids. He is proficient in research, design, and the construction of tools and equipment, and holds a number of patents and patents pending. He is perhaps best known for his patent for balanced charge agglomeration technology, but is also proud of his patent for an interactive teaching system that predated the widespread use of the Internet.
